The Gen Z Gas Station

Working with Formula E and fellow designer Patrick Kelly, we began to imagine what the near future might look like as electric vehicles continue to grow in popularity and how we might use public spaces to create viewing opportunities for fans across the country. By repurposing a gas station, fans could come together and engage in a bar-cade like atmosphere, see Formula E cars on display, and gather in a futuristic amphitheater to watch the race.

Mood lighting transitions the space from day to night and encourages gathering in the barcade.

Bar setup mimics modular seating to create a simple futuristic environment.

VR driving pods allow visitors to race and engage with others.

A stage is included to allow for speakers or presentations and Q and A.

Exterior viewing amphitheater is set up using a modular system with built in lighting for easy set up and dismantle.
